Yes, your counselor is not a dean, nor are they your parents. Trust is important in any relationship and we value the confidentiality of our conversations. 如果你允许的话, we can share with your parents (and sometimes there are times when it is a healthy decision to share).
 

Certain situations where we are mandated to share information with others include:

1. If you might be an immediate danger to yourself (consideration of self-harm, suicide).
2. 如果你可能对他人构成直接威胁.
3. If you are endangering another person who cannot protect themselves (i.e. a child, a person with a disability, or the elderly).
4. If someone is endangering you through physical, emotional, and/or mental abuse.

You can make an appointment with your counselor by:

• Using the paper forms found outside the offices in 学生支援服务.
• Emailing or sending a Schoology message to your counselor.
• Dropping by to see if the counselor is available (and, if not, 到时可以预约吗?.

Yes, students are arranged according to the alphabet and stay with the same counselor all through their years at De La Salle. However, students can ask to be moved to another counselor if they so desire.  We only ask that the student talk with his current counselor to arrange the move.

If you have any questions concerning educational support, please contact Mr. Bristol.  他是……的协调员 Learning Needs at De La Salle.  He is experienced in supporting students with academic learning differences and collaborates with the teachers to determine reasonable accommodations to meet each student’s needs.

If you need tutoring (or extra tutoring), you can do the following:

1. Contact your teacher and arrange to meet them during their office hours
2. Connect with Mr. Norfolk in the 学习中心 either by email/Schoology or in person, and arrange a schedule for tutoring.

在学校活动中受到的脑震荡:

1. 脑震荡管理(学生家长手册，第35-36页) If you were concussed during practice or at a game, immediately contact your coach and Assistant Athletic Trainer, Mr. Doug Bauman.  They will assess your condition and direct you in further steps.
2. Your counselor will be notified by the Assistant Athletic Trainer and will support you during your recovery.  Please have your parents share the incident with your counselor.
3. Your counselor will contact your teachers and support you during your time of recovery.

For concussions received outside of school activity:

1. After seeing your doctor, 请联系你的辅导员 and share any documents from the doctor.
2. Your counselor will contact your teachers and help during your time of recovery.

• College Counselors begin working closely with students starting the spring semester of junior year.  However, any student can drop in to the 大学咨询 offices whenever they have questions.
   
• The 大学咨询 offices are located on the 2nd floor of the Student Services building.

  • Students whose last name begins with A-K:  please see Mrs. Lopez-Arias.
  • Students whose last name begins with L-Z:  please see Mrs. Sciacca.
• Students should use the calendar links provided in Schoology to schedule a college counseling meeting.

• For seniors:  Request transcripts for college and scholarships in Naviance as instructed by your college counselors and outlined in the College Advisory resources in Schoology.

1. If you need to remediate a class (any core course with a D/F needs to be remediated for colleges to accept the credit), 请联系你的辅导员.

1. Course registration begins in January of the school year. The counselors will speak to the various grade levels about their options and resources. Actual registration is in February after students have a chance to speak with their parents, teachers, and counselors.
